Learn how to paint wet on wet using watercolour paints. In this easy watercolour painting tutorial, the 3rd in my How to paint Watercolour: basics for beginners series, I start with an outline landscape drawing. The landscape drawing is done on 300lb watercolour paper and is drawn with a soft pencil to ensure no channels are created. There would be if it is drawn with a hard pencil. After wetting the paper I show how to paint the first layer of the painting using the wet on wet technique. Once the first layer is dry I work wet on dry but demonstrate how to add paint to an already wet area. I
I explain how to paint branches and twigs using the other end of the brush and how to get the tonal range of the painting working correctly. The watercolor painting tutorial is aimed at beginners, and those wishing to develop their technique of watercolour painting.
