#kingdomhearts 2 teased the REAL Beauty and the Beast story. It actually involves a guitarist copying werewolf tropes for 4 minutes.

Specially made for the March Caprice online community, I knew I owed them my absolute best work possible. Last year I hoped to turn another Kingdom Hearts track into an engaging metal banger but ran out of time, so I pooled my ideas and thought of ways to really entertain both musically and visually! A lot of worlds like Beast's Castle put you in the seat of a Disney classic while Sora helps the protagonists - I wanted to play with that story more and more, recreating little areas of the Beauty and the Beast movie with Unreal Engine 5 (shoutout to @ProductionCrate Castle and tutorials!). From there, I merged a lot of my indoor ideas to get a nice sharp practical look with Aputure "candle" FX lights to give off that moody stormy evening look. By the time I realized what I'd done, we had a werewolf film loosely thrown into a Kingdom Hearts one!
Musically the song takes after a lot more metalcore acts like Avenged Sevenfold, using that gothic classic horror feel in the lead guitars and of course low-tuned djenty throwdowns where necessary! You can hear a few nods to Kingdom Hearts and BATB in my guitar solos as well, and of course I tried to include more synths and strings programmed to respect the original's instrumentation and tone as well! My favorite part has to be the Beast breakdown, where I pitch shifted the guitars to Double Drop D for a ripping finale!
