Travel with me on a solo trip to Walt Disney World resort in Florida, as I fly in Premium Economy with Virgin Atlantic from the UK and check-in to Gran Destino Tower at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort.

In this Disney World Travel Day vlog, I cover my best tips for solo travel and making your way to Disney World. I start out by showing you how to enquire about miles/points upgrades into Upper Class (or otherwise) when you arrive at London Heathrow on the day, by visiting the Virgin Atlantic customer service desk. On this occasion, I was actually able to move onto the earlier flight. It's then over to the Hilton Garden Inn at Terminal 2 for an overnight stay at the airport. Whilst there, I fill you in on the cost, give you a room tour of a King room and check out the Runway Bar on the 14th floor.
Starting on actual Travel Day, I check in with Virgin Atlantic at Terminal 3 and pass through security into the departures lounge. There I pick up some snacks for the flight from WHSmith, and then visit the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse airport lounge. Whilst not included as part of a Premium Economy ticket, as I'm a Gold Virgin Atlantic Flying Club member (at time of filming), I get complimentary access to the lounge regardless of which cabin I'm flying in. This is a fantastic perk, and one of the many reasons I love collecting loyalty points and flying with Virgin Atlantic.
I flew on an A330-300 (Diamond Girl) that was in good standing in 24H (premium economy). Although, I did end up swapping with a family so they could sit together, so actually I was in 21H (I think). This row didn't have a window as a heads up. The inflight movie selection was good, although my headphone jack wasn't the best quality sound. The food was outstanding with the Chicken Lasagne being a stand out! This flight was taken in October 2023, so menu items and movies will change in the future. Overall, a really great flight with a lovlely cabin crew onboard.
Upon arriving into Orlando International (MCO), I take the replacement of Disney's Magical Express: Mears Connect: Driven by Sunshine, to Disney's Coronado Springs resort. The Mear Connect is cheap at only $16 per person each way, however it can take a VERY long time to get to your resort if you're the last stop. Depending on your budget, I might recommend other transport options instead.
Upon arriving at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort and checking into the Gran Destino Tower, I go up to my King Room and I am gobsmacked by the qaulity, cleanliness and view of my room. I give you a full room tour of my King Room, showing you around the storage, bathroom and Epcot/Hollywood Studios view. An excellent first impression of an already lovely resort. Once settled, Jessie joins me for dinner at El Mercado de Coronado Food Court (the quick service) in the main building. We then take a look around the Panchito's merchandise store.
