It's Chief McCaster's BIRTHDAY! After Chief McCaster introduces his show "Walking the Beat" complete with small town South Carolina "shout outs" and his favorite country meal menu of the day, Jim Anderson leads the group in singing "Happy Birthday" to him.

One of our favorite programs on WSSB South Carolina Public Radio is "Walking the Beat" produced by host Major Kenneth "Mac" McCaster, Deputy Chief of Police with the South Carolina State University Police Department. This week Chief McCaster discusses student life, the college experience and graduation rates with students Mark Moore, Gene Robinson and Student Center Manager, Johnny Goodwin. Tune in Wednesdays at 7pm and Saturdays at 1pm to catch the current program.
