My wife's car was brought in for some recall work that had required the removal of the wiper blades for conducting the repair. During the reassembly, they had forgotten entirely to reinstall the passenger wiper blade for which my wife had to return to the dealer, the second time it was installed as you see here. The passenger side blade park position is much to low, sitting on the plastic shroud.
The plastic cap is carefully removed with a flat-head, there is a ditent for this. This covers the nut which can be loosened with a 13mm box end of a wrench. I put a paper bag under the arm at this point to protect the windshield before continuing. VW has a special tool for pulling off the arm. I have a puller that will work, though I leave the nut on to allow for centering. I will keep testing positions until I see that the arm is correctly aligned before final fitment. A test of the wipers shows no obstruction and good operation. The black cap is placed back over the nut.
While I'm here, I replace the new blades with some Bosch envision blades. Blades are model, EN240E EN190E for the 2019 Jetta. Again, I use a Big bag under the arm for windshield protection. There are several adapters in the kit. The Jetta uses adapter 4.
A test of functionality of the blades confirms good operation.
