I know 'End of Season' sounds pretentious, but I still don't know a better way to say it. I'll be disappearing from the whisky airspace for a few weeks, for my regular summer break, returning August 24th. I always look forward to the break, but I always end up missing the vPub and everyone who makes it so enjoyable. I suppose that's the idea of a healthy break, it's supposed to be a good thing.
Anyway, over the six weeks there will be a few Thursdays where other channels have stepped into the breach to give you a safe place to head on occasional Thursday nights, more to follow this week. In the meantime, we go out with a relaxed session challenging a few friends of the vPub.
Of course, it's not just a random blind selection, there's alway method to the madness and I really hope to raise an eyebrow or two on this one. I'll share what our tasting panel is sipping with everyone so you know what's involved and enjoy the comments while you're in the know.
Joining me will be two cool YouTube whisky Channels; Shane from Whisky Lock and Jeff from Jeff Whisky, both pitting their wits against five whiskies of my choosing alongside Angus Dundee's Master Blender Iain Forteath and Ardnamurchan's Jenny Karlsson. These sessions always turn up a surprise or two. Isn't that what blind tasting is all about?
