Legendary Ad Agecny DDB created this commercial for Volkswagen that compares what two neighbors named Mr. Jones and Mr. Krempler got when they went car shopping with a budget of $3000.

Mr. Jones bought himself a $3000 car. Mr. Krempler bought a refrigerator, a range, a washer and dryer, a record player, two television sets -- and a brand new Volkswagen.

"Now Mr. Jones is faced with that age-old problem," says the announcer. "Keeping up with the Kremplers."
