So Ultrakill and Dark Souls meet in a bar..and some time later, Voidborn spawns into existence, where it takes elements from games like Ultrakill and Dark Souls alongside a dash of roguelite. It's a damn good game, and a pretty challenging one at that too. It's pretty short for a roguelite game but it oozes with soulslike atmosphere, the combat is a ton of fun and the music is also pretty good too. It does have it's issues and it is annoying that you can't save and quit a run in case you have to go do something else. Other than that, it's fantastic and if you're looking for games like Ultrakill and Dark Souls, definitely give Voidborn a try.
Notes:
- Unfortunately I couldn't replicate or record a moment where the enemies can clip through the ground during gameplay. But if it happens in a locked room, your runs dead. If it's in the Shadowed City, you should be able to ignore it.
- As for the cut at the end, I got hit by a copyright claim for the music being played during the ending. Absolutely infuriating but it is what it is.
