Vlogging is making a huge comeback, and I'm excited about it! I love the raw, personal insight you get from following someone's day-to-day. We're all fascinating in our own ways, and I truly believe everyone has something interesting to share. I've been making videos on YouTube for a while now, and it's something I'm really passionate about.
When I pick up my camera, I feel pretty comfortable. But there's one massive hurdle: public speaking. Or, in this case, public vlogging. It's my biggest fear, and I can't quite pinpoint why. The moment I start filming in front of others, I just seize up. I feel like every eye is on me, and I instantly feel awkward. I know it's probably all in my head, but the anxiety is no joke.
I recently tried to film a vlog in my old neighborhood, and it went sideways fast. A few people came into view, and I just froze. I know I can overcome this, though. It's all about facing that fear head-on and practicing until it feels natural.
To my fellow creators: What are your strategies for vlogging in public? Have you ever dealt with this kind of camera shyness? I'd be so grateful for any advice you have!
