Some “deep thoughts” (a warning) on folk music that have been coming up for me in the last few months of starting to work on Irish Traditional Music. It’s been fun and challenging, and has caused me to revisit some of the folk traditions I’ve been acquainted with for a longer time, and think about what I’ve learned from them. Thanks to @AndersLillebomusic for his great resource on Irish Ornaments for piano accordion, as well as his great project @thefolkmusicpodcast8188 which has been really great to catch up on in the last few weeks as well.
