I have recently acquired a Volca Sample 2. When getting to know the Volca series, this box has been a little trickier to wrap my head around compared to the synthesizers in the series. I think it will take a little practice to integrate into my techno setup, but it is clear how incredibly powerful this thing is. Recorded audio direct into Tascam DR-07x stereo recorder, and synced in FC.
This thing is cool and powerful. Based on the limited memory it will probably have to serve as either mostly an alternate drum/percussion kit OR as something for melodic samples to 'remix" in a way. In this case, I used three samples from "Rocket's Tail" by Kate Bush as the sole melodic content, and one drum loop that shows up in the silent HIll OSTs.
