In this video we discuss and identify the vintage Vitro Agate Tiger Eye marbles variations. We also look at Vitro Easter Eggs other collectable vintage Vitro marbles from the Vienna factory and Parkersburg factory, both located in West Virginia.
Examples of Tiger Eyes, Easter Eggs, Fancy Tiger Eyes (aka Exotic Conquerors), Wedding Cakes, Yellow Jackets, Aquamarines, Buttermilks, Opals, Biscuits and Gravy, All-Reds, Blue Devils, Neon Conquerors, and Pea family marbles are included. We will show a few examples of modern Marble King marbles that are sometimes misidentified as Vitro Agates.
The Vitro Agate Company was in operation in Vienna, West Virginia from 1932 to 1945 and in Parkersburg, West Virginia from 1945 to 1987. They were among the most productive and successful glass toy marble companies in the U.S.A. The company later relocated to Anacortes, Washington under different management. The company was eventually bought by JABO marbles company.
