Here is my entry for this weeks Hardware Jams Weekend Challenge - Old Is New - performed live on the Elektron Digitakt and Model Cycles.
The Challenge this week was to take an old Jam or recording you made and remix/jam a new version. I chose to have a go at remixing a song I recorded with my old metal band 'Quad Damage' 7 years ago. I wrote the music for this to the lyrics by our vocalist Martin Cording (credit to you mate!) and recorded it in my home studio.
For the remix I took segments of the vocals, my guitar and the drums then loaded them into the digitakt to mangle. I went heavy on this one!!
Both versions are included in the video. New first then the old.
