hey there! i didn't manage to get a speedpaint out of this, but i really liked how the painting turned out, so here's a shorter step-by-step process video!!

the character is violetta amouteru from marie lu's THE YOUNG ELITES trilogy, and the painting took around two hours + some fiddling

1. sketch
2. clean-up
3. base shading
4~8. refining
9. highlights and lashes
10. colours (i did this with a soft light layer!)
11. refining (smudging out any harsh bits i don't like)
12. gold highlights
13. gold back light
14. glow
15. colour correcting
16. finished!
