UPDATE: VIETNAM IS EFFECTIVELY CLOSED TO INTERNATIONAL TOURISTS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

The coronavirus situation in Vietnam has changed since our last update on 6 March and these changes may impact travel plans. The number of new infections has risen following a flight from London to Hanoi that carried an infected passenger. Fellow travellers have been infected and others are subject to quarantine restrictions, including foreigners. Vietnam has also instituted new visa requirements for EU and UK citizens.
