Today's Story: A Dinner at Poplar Walk by Charles Dickens, first published in December 1833.

Hello and welcome to a new monthly series I'm hoping to start in the new year. Once a month I'll be reading you a Victorian short story and talking about it and the history behind it if I know any. So today we are starting off with Charles Dickens' very first published story - A Dinner at Poplar Walk. In today's video I give you some of the history behind it and then read the story to you. I had meant for this to be published back in November, but I didn't have the time to get it up.
