The LdM Gallery recently hosted a double exhibition in jewelry design, VICE + FLOW, featuring works from LdM Certificate students. In this video, the artists talk about what inspires them, how their different cultures influenced their creative process and what led them to study Jewelry at LdM.
This exhibition is structured around two conceptual notions: Vice and Flow. The jewelry thst is to Vice is a multicultural ode to the seven capital vices; works by Megan Moses, Avani Prajapati and Xin Liao mean that the collection is subtly international and uses traditional motives and languages to communicate vice as a wearable human trait.
From the same designers, Flow is jewelry that embodies a delicacy, contrasted with rough and unpolished elements. It expresses the movement and flexibility of the human body through jewelry, that merges seamlessly in the mechanicity of the body.
