In this Hanashi Oral History clip, MIS veteran Hideto Kono recalls his time on Iwo Jima, and the memory of how his team leader was in charge of interrogating a Captain of the Japanese Imperial Army. Though Kono himself only spoke with him briefly, he remembers this particular soldier as a gentleman, and one who even survived an attempted suicide.
