When Joe and I found out my Aunt was visiting Europe we knew we had to book a flight to see her so we headed to Venice, Italy! It was both Joe and my first time in mainland Europe, Italy and Venice so we were incredibly excited! We caught an early flight since we were only able to go for two days and two nights.
The first day we took the local vaporertto (a water bus) to an island off of Venice called Murano which is famous for its amazing blown glass art. We weren't able to get there early enough to see the artists blow the glass (which ends at 2 in the afternoon), but we got to walk around and see everything.
Venice was easily the most beautiful city I've ever been to and I realized on our flight home that I actually took over 800 photos and video in our two days there! Surely that must be a new record!
We walked around 8 miles that day and stayed in a local dorm room hostel that night.
