In this video we discuss and identify European marbles produced by the Dutch N.V. Veiligglas glass company.
We take a close look at their Wirepull and opaque “Amsterdam Swirl” examples and provide ID tips, view some vintage product packaging and discuss some related historical information.
Because of their similarities to American West Virginia swirls, we will present side by side comparisons of Veiligglas to Alley Agates, Ravenswood as well as Vitro and Vacor marbles. We also show photo examples of the “Winnie” swirl marble.
The Veiligglas marble production was thought to have been active from approximately 1949-1962 in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
