***UPDATE. Monday, October 16, 2023. The Clark County District Attorney's Office stated Tanner Castro has been terminated from employment. The Doug Poppa Podcast contacted the Henderson Police Department to ascertain if the HPD police report associated with Event number 23-20281 was available for dissemination. Records clerk stated the report has not been finalized by the officer at this time and therefore it cannot be released.***

The City of Henderson, Nevada court record was not available online earlier when I broke the story. According to the court record, Tanner Castro was charged with two felony counts; (1) Lure/attempt to lure child/mentally person with use of computer technology to engage in sexual conduct and (2) Attempted statutory sexual seduction by person over 21. Court record indicates Castro posted bail. Court hearing is scheduled for November 7, 2023.***

Law enforcement sources say that Clark County, Nevada Deputy District Attorney Tanner Lucas Castro, 27, was arrested by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force on Friday, October 13, 2023. Castro was allegedly on a Vegas Teens chat room, with a person he believed to be a 15-year-old female who he solicited for sex. Sources say Castro asked her to meet him so they could have sex in his car. The Henderson, Nevada police department event number associated with Castro's arrest that was provided to the Doug Poppa Podcast is 23-20281. Sources say that the office of Clark County District Attorney Steve Wolfson was notified of Castro's arrest. Thumbs up to the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force for a job well done in keeping children safe from predators.
