DOUG POPPA PODCAST | POLICE SURVEILLANCE OP IN VEGAS USED NON-ENCRYPTED RADIO CHANNEL @dougpoppapodcast | Uploaded September 2021 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
61: A police surveillance operation utilized a radio channel that was non-encrypted, broadcasting across the Las Vegas Valley for hours. Questions remain. Operational security also encompasses communications security. Hopefully this major malfunction will be addressed, and the problem handled by the agency involved, as my concerns apparently were not addressed at the time the surveillance operation was occurring when I contacted the LVMPD PIO. As I stated in the podcast, this went on until almost midnight as they executed a search warrant at a second location.
