Disclaimer : I am in no way a professional plumber or “van converter guy!” These videos are here to share my van conversion experience while highlighting the things that went well........and not so well.
Prior to my van conversion journey, my plumbing experience was basically zero. My goal was to have a sink with hot and cold water, a flushing toilet, and a permanent shower. My naive self thought this was going to be a simple task, but I quickly learned how much work goes into the type of plumbing I was after.
Luckily I had a ton of help from friends and family. I also had the added bonus of knowing a plumber who was only a house away.
Keep in mind the plumbing covered in this video happened over the course of several months. It wasn’t a task we could knock out in a single push since many other aspects of the van needed to be buttoned up in order for us to continue work on the plumbing.

If I was to put all the time it took to complete the plumbing in my van together I would say it was roughly around 5-7 days at eight hours a day. That’s with all the included help I had.
