I bought a lot of games over the years during my time on Steam and I hate nothing more than being prevented from playing them by third party launcher garbage.
When I meet the minimum system requirements of games, I expect them to be able to be played and not to be barred from it by your arbitrary software restrictions that tell me I'm not allowed because you decided so.
So to cut out the rot from the middle, I went and looked for a solution.
The easiest way would have been to play in Offline mode but of course we arent allowed to do that when a third party launcher is involved.
The next logical step was getting rid of the entire Ubisoft Connect crap.
And the easiest way to do that was to rely on what piracy relies on. Cracks.
I'm not trying to promote piracy here, I'm just trying to play my legally bought game.
And since you wont allow me to play what I bought, I wont allow you to prevent me from doing so.
I think thats only fair.
After dusting off my high sea sailing manual, it was a simple trip to a website that I wont name here, download what I needed and copy it into the install directory.
And voila, I could actually play the game.
