United Technologies Research Center (UTRC) video of the 20-minute first flight of a fuel cell-powered rotorcraft. The demonstration on October 11, 2009 used a remote-control electric helicopter model modified with a hydrogen/air proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel-cell powerplant. The fuel cell produced 1.75kW maximum power with a power density of more than 500W/kg.
