If you do the temples a little bit out of order to get the Ice Arrows before completing the Shadow Temple, you can see this unique interaction against the boss, Bongo Bongo.

If you shoot his hand with an Ice Arrow, it will freeze. He will then try to shatter the ice with his other hand. Meanwhile, you can use normal arrows and the Lens of Truch to shoot his "eye" to make him vulnerable.
