Every year when the #Pantone Color of the Year is announced I set out to do fashion shoots inspired by that color. 2021's color is known as Illuminating Yellow and that is what I'm featuring in this shoot.
I typically go with a monochromatic color scheme with something like this, so yellow on yellow on yellow, but for this one I wanted to do something with a bit more pop. It was a fun challenge to see how to incorporate that custom bow that my stylist made and in the video you'll see how the shoot evolved with many different variations of posing and styling to finally get it right.

For this image I used 3 Profoto D2s and 2 yellow gels on the rim lights to bring the beautifully saturated image to life. Each light has it's purpose, and you'll see how I built the scene one light at a time in the video.
