Microsoft Detours open-source library was utilized to develop a DLL capable of deep system inspection. This approach targets the process environments of various computing systems, resulting in the discovery of multiple exploitable vulnerabilities.

As demonstrated by recent news in the security realm, a minor logic flaw in a kernel driver can render a system inoperable. An attacker exploiting a vulnerable privileged file operation in an ICS system could similarly interrupt operations, causing issues like a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) or an endless boot cycle.

Asher showcases these exploitations, providing insights into the vulnerabilities uncovered in widely used SCADA software and their implications for system security in an ICS environment.
