I decided to simplify my setup, so I've gone back to the basics - just a USB microphone and no other recording equipment. I primarily use a Lewitt DGT 650 or a Shure MV7i (both of which function also as audio interfaces into which I can plug a 1/4 inch TS cable such as would be used with this Godin Multiac guitar). I am now delving into the world of plugins, so I am using the Waves WNS noise suppression plugin, the Waves NS1 noise suppression plugin, and the Waves L4 Ultramaximizer adaptive limiter plugin. I am able to achieve a "live mastering" setup this way with clean and *super loud* recordings in real time. I do zero editing in post now. Yes, I have to deal with some latency while tracking, but I've gotten used to that. I was wondering if I can use an IR loader plugin via OBS, and I figured out how to do that. I am using fenrIR by Aurora DSP (free plugin) and atkAudio to allow OBS to load VST3 plugins. The first half of the video is raw piezo sound (with a touch of Lyric mic just for quiet golpes), and the second half is with the IR. What are your thoughts?
