Successfully navigating from striking to clinch to takedowns requires effective use of striking to create angles and opportunities. In this video, Mike Cheney @boomboomcheney shows how to manage distance using primarily lead strikes to set up lots of opportunities for follow up power shots and takedown options. This video was filmed while co-teaching the Knife Control Concepts course in Nosara, Costa Rica, alongside Mike Cheney and Aaron Jannetti. We taught sections on kickboxing, clinch fighting, ground grappling, and more. Hope you like it!
