In the heart of Puri, as the Rath Yatra brought the city to life with colour, chants, and crowds, another movement quietly took shape. Under Greensweep, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages, along with Anandana – The Coca-Cola India Foundation, the Puri Municipality, District Administration, Odisha Development Management Programme, and Y4D Foundation, stepped in to support the city’s preparations.
From early morning beach cleanups and plogging drives to collaborations with the local hotel association, PET bottle collection centres were set up near markets and gathering spots to help keep the city clean. Street plays engaged locals and visitors alike, raising awareness about responsible waste disposal. These efforts showed that celebration and care for the city can go hand in hand.
Because the path of devotion deserves to stay as clean as the intent behind it.
