As we celebrate our 25th anniversary, we are extending our gratitude to the relentless spirit of the Safai Sathis, who are an essential part of our Plastic Waste Management Program.
HCCB and UNDP have been jointly running this initiative to engage with the informal sector of Safai Sathis, and integrate them into the formal economy through self-help groups. Over the years, the project has brought in savings of more than 1,07,500 metric tons of CO2 emissions and more than 86,000 liters of oil has been avoided in the production of virgin plastic.
