Devices that can be powered and charged via USB are becoming more and more prevalent making them of interest to anybody camping, caravanning or motor homing off grid. In this video I run through the history of USB and cover the various standards relating to USB power delivery. I cover in some detail all the different types of USB connectors, QuickCharge, Lightning and USB-C and power delivery standards, charging USB from 12v sockets and examples of what types of USB powered devices you may find useful when staying off-grid.
