The US Navy's 127-metre Austal-designed and built Littoral Combat Ship, LCS 2 "Independence". The vessel, which was built at Austal's Mobile, Alabama facilities, utilises Austal's advanced trimaran hullform offering superior seakeeping and less resistance. the vessel is capable of speeds greater than 45 knots.
