Dory 2 has arrived at her new homeport of Papeete after a successful delivery voyage from Austal Vietnam.

Members of the Austal Vietnam team were aboard for the journey to French Polynesia, where Dory 2 will link Tahiti and the Palliser Islands for the Degage Group.

The 71-metre custom-built RoPax cargo vessel is the first Austal Vietnam project constructed in both aluminium and steel.

She is a gamechanger for Austal, establishing us as a multi-material shipbuilder in the region.

To mark Dory 2’s homecoming, here are flashbacks to some other key milestones in the vessel’s life – the launch and sea trials.
