Bañaderos Express is the second of two Austal Auto Express 118 trimaran ferries Austal has constructed (in Australia and the Philippines) for Fred. Olsen Express over 2018-2021; the video shows the vessel during sea trials, held off the coast of Balamban, Cebu in the Philippines in August 2021.
The sister ship to Bajamar Express (Austal Hull 394, constructed by Austal Australia and delivered in July 2020), Bañaderos Express is a 118 metre long high speed trimaran ferry, capable of transporting 1,100 passengers and 276 cars at a cruising speed of 37.5 knots.
The two new ferries for Fred. Olsen Express, designed in Australia, feature class-leading interior amenities and facilities, including multiple bars, kiosks, a retail shop and children’s play area and will operate in the Canary Islands.
Austal Philippines delivered the Bañaderos Express on 5th October 2021.
