A.P.T. James (Austal Hull 397) is an 'Auto Express 94' high-speed catamaran ferry, designed by Austal Australia and constructed by Austal Vietnam for the National Infrastructure Development Company of Trinidad and Tobago.
The 94 metre long catamaran can transport 926 passengers and 20 crew, plus 250 cars (or 90 lane metres for trucks and 222 cars) at a cruising speed of 37.5 knots (90%MCR).
The A.P.T. James is the first vessel to be constructed by Austal Vietnam at the Vung Tau shipyard and was delivered in November 2020, following approximately 20 months construction.
