In this video are footage from gun cameras of United States Army assault planes in operations against the Japanese in Luzon. This places the time frame from late 1944 to the first months of 1945. Although the video has no audio, the viewer will nonetheless get treated to cockpit views of dogfights, assault on ships, tracers flying to and from the aircraft and Japanese shipping on Manila Bay as well as, presumably, Japanese positions on the ground.
This video was originally downloaded from the United States National Archives, enhanced using video editing software and condensed for shorter viewing. Quality is generally fair to good.
