Fort Sill, Oklahoma, serves as the home of the U.S. Army Air Defense Artillery (ADA) School (under the Fires Center of Excellence). All 14P Soldiers undergo their specialized training at Fort Sill.

MOS 14P is the U.S. Army's Military Occupational Specialty for Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Crewmembers. These Soldiers are responsible for operating and maintaining mobile, short-range air defense weapons systems—such as the Avenger Air Defense System, M-SHORAD (Mobile Short-Range Air Defense) Strykers, and Stinger missile systems—to protect ground forces against cruise missiles, low-flying aircraft, and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
