We have two more mayors to go. Right now I'm taking a break to explore a couple of side areas.
Lord British doesn't tell you directly where to go, so I'll say it: Your next destination is the Cavern of Pride, and to reach it you need to take a boat. The clue you need was found at the Buccaneer's Den. You have to drive your boat into a whirlpool.
I showed off part of the main castle's basement in the first Runes of Virtue 2 video, but I forgot to show off the most important part. You can go through this area and get a star key, which unlocks a door to a portal. This portal takes you straight to the eight portals in The Lyceum, so it's an alternate to going to Yew and Moonglow.
Serpent's Hold is an optional area. The only person there tells you what you can get in the Cavern of Pride. You also have a basement full of monsters.
