One billion pesos will be spent for scientific information in disaster risk reduction, flood management, environmental protection, and climate resilience. This was announced by the University of the Philippines Resilience Institute - Nationwide Operational Assessment of Hazards, or NOAH Center. The amount comes from the funding it received from the national government. UP President Angelo Jimenez said that the budget release is an investment in research and innovation.
