I recently upgraded my internet service to go from 500Mb to Gigabit speeds! Unfortunately, my current mesh setup ( Deco M5 ) is limited by the current system I'm using. In this video I upgrade my mesh setup to Wifi 6E which allows me to use more of bandwidth!

A couple of months ago, I treated myself to the Anbernic RG353p. Anbernic actually saw that video, and sent me over their new RG353V! And hmm. I have some thoughts! So let’s check it out! On your boot sequence.
So, this is the RG353V. Currently, on Aliexpress its selling for about 110 to 130$. But you have to be a little careful since there are actually 2 different models. The RG353V and VS. They differ quite a bit.
The one I have, the V model, well its the higher-end one. It comes in 4 different colors, White, grey, transparent black and transparent purple. The VS version only comes in grey or transparent black.
Another difference is that the V model has dual OS, so you can boot it up on whatever version of linux that you want, or you can boot it on android. The VS model is exclusively Linux. We’ll get to why that matters a little later.

![Intels Raptor Lake Might Get a REFRESH in 2023!
Lets get started with intel. The blue team is notorious for the short lifetime of their CPU platforms. The CPUs are usually only compatible with 2 generations of motherboards, and after that, you need to upgrade. With amd for example, they’ve kept releasing CPUs for the AM4 platform for the last 6 years. Seriously, AM4 came out before Ryzen was a thing.
Anyways, why am I talking about this? Well, while we might not get a FULL new generation on intel’s LGA1700, a couple of things point to a refresh of the raptor lake architecture sometimes next year. First, the obvious one, the rumors.
A couple of weeks ago, ECSM, a quite reputable leaker, I mean whoever they are, they had access to raptor lake LONG before release, but anyways, on November 13th they posted Billi Billi saying that 2023 will be a battle of Raptor lake vs zen 4. In the first half of the year, we’ll see the 13900KS and Zen 4 X3d. The 13900KS has been a thing we’ve known about for a while now, and its not the refresh Im talking about. Lower, he then says that in mid to late Q3, that’s august and September, toothpaste will have Raptor Lake refresh.
Ok I dont know where these people are getting these translations, but properly translated, it says “ in the middle and late Q3 of 2023, there will be a Raptor lake Refresh, the frequency will be higher by 0.1G~0.2G, and the number of cores will remain the same.
As for ARL and Zen 5, that is a matter of 2024 H2.”

![This Thing Has NO COMPETITION! - Antlion ModMic Wireless Review
Alright! This, is the ModMic wireless. Now you probably heard about the ModMic before, its made by Antilion audio and their OG wired modmic was pretty game-changing. Add a mic to any pair of headphones without sacrificing sound quality.
The problem with the OG is, well if your headphones are wireless, you now have to have a wire. This solves this problem. Now, its not new. I believe this wireless model came out in 2018, but I still have yet to find an alternative to a wireless mic, that doesnt cost an arm and a leg.( wireless go ) plus I think the ModMic wireless is due for an update. So Im going to give Antilon some feedback.
Now, Why wireless? You’re at your desk, you dont need wireless right? Wrong. if your internal DAC is trash, or if your cable needs to be more than 6 feet long, or if you play VR, you dont necessarily want an extra cable running from that headset. So let’s talk about it !

![AMDs Zen 4 is WAY FASTER Than we Thought!
Subscribe to Morning Brew : https://morningbrewdaily.com/bootsequence
Let’s get started with AMD. ever since the company released information on the Zen 4 architecture, people have been going back and forth on what exactly AMD’s figures meant. Is a single thread uplift of over 15% relevant? does 31% faster than a 12900K mean anything? How about the cache? Is twice the size that good? is it just a refresh with more cache? You get what I mean.
The issue here is simply that we dont have all or enough information. Zen 4 has been announced, but its not in the mass production phase yet. Thankfully though, that isn’t stopping their marketing team from spilling the beans here and there. Robert Hallock has been making his rounds of interviews and he gave us quite a lot, so let us take a look at the important beans.
First, about that 15% single thread uplift. During his interview with techpowerup, He said that its basically a temporary number and that they were purposefully conservative about it. Adding that they intend to publish the breakdown in IPC vs frequency gains later in the summer. Basically, its too early to have definitive info.
In terms of the launch release, some people were wondering if we would only have high end chips at the start rather than a full lineup, and to that, robert just said that we can expect a family. This probably means a similar launch to ryzen 5000. A 6, 8 ,12 and 16 core lineup.
Oh, and adding to that, during his interview with Hothardware, Robert kind of slipped in a little gold bean. He said that sure, 16 cores is the max but.. Well let me play the clip * Look at this cheeky little face. 40%+ more performance on a zen 4 16 cores vs Zen 3 16 cores. Nice. And he even adds a little “Right now” [...]

![AMD Engineer Responds to 7900 XTX 110c Issue!
Let’s get started with AMD! It looks like the whole Junction temperature issue for the rx 7900 series of gpu’s is still evolving. For those who didnt know, the 7900 XTX or even XT for that matter, has a bit of a cooler issues. Specifically , we’re talking about the reference designs, so those that look like this.
So whats the problem ? Well, a lot of people who owns these cards have been reporting really high hot spot temperatures. We’re talking 110 degrees celsius, which is the max the card can hit before starting to throttle. And while AMD said that its within spec, the high temperatures do affect the gaming performance, since the card has to downclock to keep itself cool. AMD even refused warranty service to some customers who were in that situation.
So whats new ? Well, and AMD representative stuck his neck out to respond to the situation on reddit. He says that the company is aware of thes hotspot issue being reported and they’re investigating / correlating steps to reproduce the issue. They’re also collecting serial numbers to see if this issue might be specific to a certain batch of cards. He says that it looks like there were 2 or 3 specific batches, or signatures as he calls them.
He also added that if its a mechanical issue, then RMA your card, I’d say that would only apply if your GPU was outright borked, or if a fan wasnt spinning or something like that. Also, they’re looking for solutions in firmware? Which… I dont know how I feel about that. All I could see that doing would be locking down the boost frequency for better temps, which would mean less auto OC boosting.

![Intel Wants YOU To Fix Their GPU Power Problems…
Today in the news, Intel wants YOU to fix their power problems, Raptor lake is quite efficient, and more. What is up guys I’m Snows and this is your boot sequence.
Lets get started with intel. So the ARC A750 and A770 are finally out. And the reviews are actually pretty favorable. I mean, its fine for gaming when it works and it has a great encoder that can make this card last years for a media PC. Plus, its price to performance is not bad.
The main issue which we all called out was the drivers. But it seems like theres another issue and I havent heard it be brought up by many outlets, only a couple. And that problem is Idle power consumption. The 2 ARC GPU’s, the A750 and A770 actually top every modern GPU’s when it comes to idle power draw. Computerbase and techpowerup noted power consumptions of around 45W… That’s at idle… you doing absolutely nothing on your PC. Now, to put that into perspective, a GPU with similar performance like the 6650XT only draws 5 watts at idle, and the RTX 3060 ? 11 watts. I mean even the 3090 ti consumes significantly less at around 25w.
This might seem pretty trivial, and for someone in my position, it is. I live in an area where electricity is super cheap. A year of this running at idle, 24/7 will only cost me about 30 ish dollars. But if you live elsewhere it can be a good chunk of change. From 60 all the way up to 150$ extra a year.
