These are notorious for failing and taking out the computer. This one was showing a higher than optimal output on the 5v line. I opened it up and replaced the 5v regulator with a switching regulator that I have been using on drones without problems for years. I soak test it under load and test for drift and ripple. Made the case safe but easy to open for repairs and further changes. Will probably put a saver in there too just to be sure.
