In this video I repair and upgrade the Anycubic i3 Mega after the metal core of power cables to the heatbed broke due to strain from movement. I used this printer predominantly to print test plates while designing my CNC machine and this is what I did:
• Replace wiring with flexible silicone wires.
• Removing the noisy speaker from the controller.
• Make rigid the metal plate under the heatbed by riveting metal to it.
• Upgrade the stepper drivers to TMC2208.
• Swap most fans to low noise variety.

Noctua NF-A4x10 FLX 40mm x 10mm to replace the hot end fan.
Gelid Silent 6, 60mm Quiet Case Fan to replace the PSU fan.
Gelid Silent 5, 50mm Quiet Case Fan to replace the controller board fan.
I couldn’t find a good alternative for the 45x45x10.4 12v radial print fan so I kept it.
