Delirium is one of the most common and debilitating hospital-acquired syndromes, but there is hope: new evidence is giving us better tools to detect and manage it. This Grand Rounds will highlight updates in the field, such as validated screening tools and strategies for prevention and treatment.
Speakers:
Sara LaHue, MD, is an assistant professor of neurology at UCSF Health and a Beeson and Butler-Williams Scholar whose research examines delirium, cognitive impairment, and aging biology among hospitalized older adults.
Erik Levinsohn, MD, is an assistant professor of psychiatry at UCSF Health. His clinical work focuses on inpatient psychiatric consultation, with particular interests in delirium, capacity assessment, critical care psychiatry, and medical ethics.
