Hopefully this time I'll drop a video on mixing up your own Marine Juice and I won't find out in the next three days that one of the ingredients is being changed or discontinued!
When you've a need for deep, but relatively subtle shading that won't stain the colours on a miniature too much, it's Marine Juice to the rescue. An (almost) universal wash mixture that'll work brilliantly over almost anything but pure black, it serves as 'the juice' to a whole mess of my speed painting methods and I'm sure you'll find a use for it, too.

The Churchill was like most British tanks in service throughout WWII: Always just a little undergunned compared to the opponents it would square off against. Luckily, it was built like a mobile fortress, enabling allied anti-armour assets to maneuver into position to knock out heavier targets - including the feared German big cats!

The Tallarn Desert Raiders are still one of those alternate regiments that capture peoples imaginations in Warhammer 40,000 - even if they dont officially have rules any more. Or you play 5th Edition like a hero...!
Of course, the Reptilian Overlords miniatures dont necessarily need to be strictly for 40k; Xenos Rampant, Five Parsecs from Home, Grimdark Future and others are all miniature agnostic, meaning you can play with whatever toy soldiers you like.
Today was mostly about testing out the new camera. Theres a couple of minor focusing issues to fix yet, but I think the body of the videos pretty good!

Sometimes things dont go according to plan, which instead leaves you with an opportunity! Its worth having a little something to hand which youll enjoy painting if something else doesnt work out, or even just to test theories and practice painting in your own time. Not everything has to be work - even if youre painting an army of Space Marines, sometimes a kobold for a change of pace can be fun, and the same principle holds true here.
Those @ArmyPainter Historical paints are going to be a game changer for folks concerned about coming into the hobby looking for the right colours for their WWII stuff, Im pretty certain!

The first major Tyranid fleet encountered by the Imperium, Hive Fleet Behemoth are about as old-school as you get when it comes to these awful gribblies. Painting them is a little more involved than other white-leading Hive Fleets like Leviathan, for example, but not so much more so than makes them difficult. If you like red, well... theres not really another choice, is there?!

Turnip28 is... well, its a lot. Like Napoleon stood for a portrait by Hieronymus Bosch. A post-apocalyptic world where instead of just stagnating, civilization slid backward into a deep, muddy hole. Where root-worshipping cults throw parades of hapless, mutated peasants at one another in the name of their chosen vegetable. Where a turnip will feasibly contain gristle, a chunk of splintered bone, a little hair...

THE BASE:
Start with a thin layer of Stirland Mud. Add tufts, then more Stirland Mud, working it into the tufts so they look clogged and grimy. Lightly overbrush a grimy, yellowish brown - Ive used Vallejo Flat Earth - and once dry, dab gloss varnish puddles on the base around the bottom of the tuft clods. Paint the base rim in a dark brown and done!
