Unknown woods used for bowl and pedestal. I think the bowl may be pecan and the pedestal cherry based on smell when turning and sanding.
Sanded to 400 grit. used sanding sealer to help stabilize softer parts of the bowl. Finished with Ack’s abrasive paste and Ack’s Polish/Restoring Paste. Bowl and pedestal fitted and wood glued. Epoxy resin used in void between pieces to reenforce glue joint.
Final dimensions - 4 inches tall and 7-78 inches outside diameter.
