On Wednesday, February 6, the United States Postal Service announced that it would be cutting Saturday service later this year to help fix finances. We took a look in the archives and discovered that the Postal Service was about to make similar service cuts back in April of 1957. Frank Blair describes these Saturday cuts which resumed once the USPS received the new funding sought by the Postmaster General in our Video of the Week.
