Another showcase of the sheer amount of talent present in the latest A State of Sugar compilation album, this collab full of both instrumental and vocal awesomeness has also quite a lot of feelings and backstory behind it!
You may have heard about it from Twitter or behind-the-scenes videos, but Tw3Lv3s story and path as a musician in the community is quite moving. She feels a lot of gratitude toward her friends and the people who helped her getting more exposure in the community, and who showed her that she should continue making music and doing what she loves to do. And it even helped her against depression! Wrapped in our undying love, the dedicated musician decided to make a song to express those feelings toward friends and also the whole community, for the new A State of Sugar compilation album! Gathering the help of Drummershy for an epic drums performance, and of Koa and MC-Arch for top-notch vocals! And that is One Small Thing that you are listening to now! Indubitably a lot of heart has been poured into the song, and I can certainly relate to wanting to express gratitude and love to the community in all the ways I can. And I just know the kind of love-filled songs that I would make myself if I was a musician! Id gladly quote the full backstory and explanation of the meanings behind this track that Tw3Lv3 gave me, but its in French, so... just tell me if you want a translation and Ill see what I can do! Or, you could just ask Tw3Lv3! I can vouch for the length and force of it, and its really something to make you melt. Go send warm hugs to her everypony! The meaningful Flawless song from S07E14 Fame and Misfortune has practically become a community classic at this point, with how much pony musicians remixed it, and Paloris gives it some more well-deserved love with such a quality remix!
Paloris has been active in the pony music scene for a while, participating in collabs with notably Night Time Lullabies from A State of Sugar Bubblegum and Feeling Free from Ponies at Dawn Rebirth that we featured on Cider Party, as well as releasing their original song Smiles through the promotional channel Onward. After honing their skill some more, Paloris crafted such a fine remix of the famous Flawless, blending Indie Dance midtempo rhythms and chords with Future Bass sound design. The punchy kick gives much energy to the track, while the composition overall does wonders at paying tribute to the original song and its meaning, carrying the original vocals as well as Paloris own pony vocal chops! Nostalgia, happy feelings, love for ponies, union by passion... There is much emotion to be felt while listening to this beauty of a remix and reflecting at the path traveled, the friends we made, the smiles weve shared, and the fact that these ponies will always remain by our side, forever in our hearts and souls...

Our boy MrMehster is back with a new original track, and this one is quite unique and enthralling! Themed around the Ursa Major from the MLP lore, it takes us on a trancey journey and lets us feel inner peace through the beautiful World Music melodies, intricate Psytrance tribal vocals, and hard bass, to find our Spirit Animal...
Inspired to make a Psytrance track, shining star MrMehster has fittingly associated the tribal elements of the genre with the Ursa Major from MLP, and crafted this stunning and unique gem full of personality and flavor. Heres some backstory on the track from the musician:
Psytrance picked up in late 2017. I first heard a few tracks from other EDM producers, and I thought hey, this sounded cool, why not give it a shot.
As for why I chose the bear, thats because not many songs have the Ursa Major in them, and psytrance tracks revolve around tribal elements and the like.
Its killing two birds with one stone. I get to try a new genre and about a character/enemy (?) thats not portrayed often!
That was definitely an awesome idea, and with such a unique alchemy of both instrumental and vocal greatness, SP1RIT ANIMAL is sure to remain a timeless token of ingenuity, talent and passion!

I very sadly missed the live release party because of my current sleeping pattern (Im so bummed because I was so looking forward to it), but on the bright side I had an awesome dream of attending an IRL pony music festival, and a P@D live release party happening there!! Did you notice how it feels like the Cider Party logo in the video is twerking or something like that, when it starts wobbling again at 1:48 after that time of immobility? No? Maybe its just me then... But I found it so hilarious, I was laughing my flank off as I saw it while pre-rendering!
There was quite a few good candidates for the art to use for this upload, and it was hard to choose. I ended up going for this one from my folder, the visual style is close to that of the show, so it fits more to the I watch the show for the plot line. And the fact that its Rarity might be extra fitting because of that cat noise at 1:22 in the song, its like its from Opalescence..! As for the bed squeaking sample at 1:56, it makes me think of that time when Rarity was being a drama queen on her bed... maybe she has a squeaky bed or something, haha!
I tried to go for the perfect mirror and there was several tests, and I ended up editing the picture and extending the background so that it was perfect. Im happy with the result, and hopefully you will like it too! Much love!

Feel free to check out Sonic Rainbooms channel to see just how much he has contributed to the pony music scene over the years! Im so glad to see him back with a new tune! This was originally intended for a Ponies at Dawn album, and it has been refined further to what youre hearing now! Arcana is all about the pursuit of magic, in particular that of Twilight Sparkle in MLP and Stephen Strange in Doctor Strange. So this track has a dual meaning, as it samples both of those works! The Twilight samples for the vocal chops are from S03E13 Magical Mystery Cure. The mystical atmosphere of the track is definitely fitting for the theme, and the proggy nature could represent the progression toward the mastery of magic! And yet, the biggest realization is probably that the quest for knowledge has no end...

This is truly the era of compilation albums in the community!! PonyChord is definitely a label on the rise lately, hosting awesome releases from Drixale and Spikey Wikey, and now they organized a compilation album of their own, filled with amazing treats!
From the start of the album, you are greeted by awesome and creative pony initiatives, and stylish sound. Spikey Wikey aka Tacos, Cider Partys founder, does us the honor of an inventive House beauty that samples vocals from What My Cutie Mark Is Telling Me, a show song not often remixed or used, while One Track Mind delivers a very emotional and nostalgic treat calling back to early community classics such as Alex S. or Omniponys. 7th Stive, GrazySmash, and FelonOnBass contributed as well with real bangers! And now lets get to track #6, All Night Long from ponycutz that were presenting to you with this upload. Ponycutz is a fairly new and undiscovered pony musician, with a few tracks released so far and only 17 subs at the time of writing this. Lets fix that everypony! As you can hear with this song from PonyChords compilation album, the musician clearly knows what theyre doing, with a refined and rich progression, emotional vocal-like melodies, and a blissful and somewhat dark sound that is quite unique. Along with their solo releases that are quite impressive too, it definitely looks like its a musician to keep on your radar, and I have the feeling they havent finished blowing us away with tasty tunes!
