Understanding the Gap Between User Expectations and Technology Performance Case of Heat Pumps CHI 20 @BristolIG

This research explains why some heat pump users believe their devices perform very well, while in actuality they do not. Heat Pumps are very good technology per se, but poor installation can cause poor performance. When the technology users are not able to observe the real performance from the device interface, their believes can diverge from reality, which demonstrated happened in this study.
